My location board! Last year it seemed like every time something big was going down (Boys flooded the building twice my friend passed out and hit his head, anything with blood, a huge screaming match between roommates, etc) my RA was MIA and no one could locate her. I don’t want to be that RA. I know this only a small step, but it makes me feel better. Plus it matches my cupcakes :)

The beautification piece for my first bulletin board about homesickness! Adapted from a sketch found online and drawn on a piece of poster board by my friendly art major. This is the most fun I have had coloring all summer* :) Just need to cut it out and get it lamented at Staples.

*Finished coloring not pictured because I am lazy

Well, I’m a Resident Advisor now!

As a incoming RA at a small college, I have been tasked with creating informative bulletin boards and themed door decs (and making them cute enough to be ignore by not so sober residents) as well as planning a ton of fun events. Pinterest and tumblr are two of the go to sites for finding inspiration, and I feel as though it is my duty to add to that stock pile as I do my job this year. :)
